When I can't Sleep, I swear it is so aggravating,

Your tired, you go to bed, and you just lay there, Turn to this side, turn to that side, just get comfortable, think your just about to fall asleep, Oops, Damn shouldn't have thought about it, turn over again.

I went to bed at II:00 last night, it was 3:30 before I feel asleep, which is lovely when you have to get up for work in the morning. I was just truly glad it was Thursday night rather then Friday night, Seeing as I have to be to work at 4 am on sat morning, Then I would have just been really pissed off,

And I hate how when you can't sleep, you constantly find your self looking at the clock, Thinking If I fall asleep right now I can get 4 hours of sleep, If I go to Sleep right now I can 2 hours of sleep, I can function on 2, Wow if I go to sleep right now I can get 30 min's of sleep, and as soon as you think that.. BOOM off goes your alarm clock, and your day.. lack of sleep and all is going to begin, and you know, Just because you have had no sleep, that nothing is going to go right, everyone you deal with is going to have a problem or an issue, And all you want to do, Is just crawl in a corner and take a nap:rolleyes:

That can be rough. I go through spurts where I can't sleep well, so I just don't sleep at all. Then there are times, like more recently, when I just snuggle under the covers and I'm out. Lately I've been sleeping about 6 hours a night. That's pretty good for me. I wake up feeling great after 6 hours. 7 is always better, but 6 is do-able.

Ugh.. i know what you mean.. i hate when you calculate in your head how much sleep you would get if you fall asleep right then and there.. i go through cycles where i can not sleep.. usually stress related and it really screws up the whole day... but the tme lunch time rolls around im ready to crawl under the kids desks and go to sleep, but aside from prescription meds- nothing will put me to sleep

i have the same problem...my solution is 2fold. 1-go to bed earlier. around 9 or 10. I usually go to bed between 10 and 10:30. 2-take a natural sleep aid like Valerian Root. It doesn't make you sleepy like sleeping pills, but once you are laying down it makes going to sleep SO much easier...and it helps you stay asleep throughout the night. Also, no grogginess in the morning whatsoever. I hear Kava Kava is also good for this, but I cannot give my endorsement on that one since I haven't tried it.

And yet the Worst Part.. I was out of ciggerettes.. see now that is just wrong.

Hah, I get that all the time. Generally my solution is to bug Matt, and he'll talk me to sleep (he's got one of those voices... he's a musician, it shows). That way he's the one who has to deal with it, not me. Haha

When I was pregnant, i was seriously unable to sleep until like...3 am. Riley would get the hiccups so bad, and would save all his movement until i was ready for bed.

I hate to say it, but have you tried sex?

Yeah I know sounds kind of cheesy, but it is known that it can provide release from tension that may be keeping you awake. It's physical which can also have a tiring effect.

I do find it interesting however that most of the posters are women. I know I don't have too much trouble sleeping but my wife does sometimes,

Biologically, men are programmed to fall asleep after sex, and women are programmed to stay awake (so they have a larger chance of furthering the human race with more men). In theory, anyway. :p

if i cant get to sleep, i think ( it can get pretty .. interesting as to what some of the conclusions i come to.. ) and usually, i stay up all night.

if i cant get to sleep, i think ( it can get pretty .. interesting as to what some of the conclusions i come to.. ) and sometimes, i actually can sleep, but when i wake up, i get pissed, because i dont remember nothing i thought of before i was able to get to sleep.

Lol, and usually that is the whole reason I can't sleep, Because I cant Shut my Damn brain off long enough to fall asleep

So of course last night, I am dead ass Tired, could hardle keep my eyes open, I finally go to bed about I0am, knowing I have to be up at 3 for work.. And of course What happes the minute I crawl in bed and Get comfortable... IM WIDE Fucking Awake.. WTFH..
toss and turn, minds racing, thinking up just odd random shit, and keeping me awake..
Hell I am not even sure how I made it through today.

couple years ago, wouldn't have bugged me so much, when I was working 3 jobs, I was lucky if I was getting more then 2 hours sleep a night, But then that was by choice, for some very odd reason that makes a difference.

Although a very good Idea, It just doesnt work as well without the Partner.. Guess I will have to try something else.
