If I'm speaking candidly, I love this board. I think open debate about things like race and religion make people think and encourage others to express themselves.
If anything is going to kill this board, it's going to be the catiness and the idea that if you put a smiley face at the end of something cruel, it makes it a joke. It doesn't.

How hypocritical of you.

You just deleted one of my jokes because you deemed it to be racist. I gave you my opinion on the matter, saying to you that I did not believe it to be racist and explained my reasoning.

You then told me in a message that you did not want to discuss the matter further. How can we move forward with this issue if you will not discuss matters such as this with members like me? I only wanted you to hear my side of it, but you just brushed it away and told me not to do anything of the sort ever again. I still stand by my joke and believe that it wasn't racist and was posted without the intention of offending anyone.

Let's talk and learn from each other instead of choosing to remain ignorant of other opinions.

Debating racism and it's impact on our society is one thing, making racist jokes is an entirely different matter.
