I need your prayers more than anything right now

Hi Amy. My heart is saddened to hear of the pain your husband is in and to know the way you must of felt when your heart no doubt dropped to the pit of your stomach when you received that phone call. I pray that you can feel the Lord's presence all around you and that your husband will recover from this and be good as new --- even better. I pray that during this very difficult time that you and yours are surrounded by love and support. If there is anything I can do or if you just need someone to listen ... know that I'm a couple of 'key taps' away.
Faith & Hope Always, Much Love,
Gracie

Thank you everyone for your thought and prayers, it means alot! I think with everyones thoughts and prayers from all over, he is pulling thru, a little each day.
He is still in the hospital in Little Rock right now. I came home this evening so I could try to get some rest and to pack some more clothes, etc.
He is having surgery this Friday at noon. His jaw is broke in 3 places, his nose in 2 places and he has all depressed fractures throughtout his face. It breaks my heart to see him hurting so bad, and the hospital where they trasnferred him to Sunday afternoon treated him not very good the first night. I ended up calling the nursing supervisor to make a complaint on the nurse that was taking care of him (long story). He is gonna have to have titanium plates put in his face, 1 on his lower jaw and one on each side of his nose. From the sound of what the surgeon says, he wont have any scars that will be visible. They are going to make incisions on the bottom and upper insides of his lips to do what they have to do and then an incision in his eyelid to fix his nose and fractures in his cheek.

Let me tell you, things could have been MUCH worse than they are now. The ER dr said Sat night that he is extrememly lucky, that if the handlebars on the 4 wheeler would have hit him even 2 inches above where it did, it would have crushed his skull and would have killed him. Plus, Cameron WAS on the 4 wheeler with him when it happened and I think thats why my husband is banged up so bad. He said when the 4 wheeler started to come off the ground, he bear hugged Cameron for a moment and then literally threw him off the 4 wheeler, cause he knew he didnt have time to jump off himself. If that 4 wheeler would have gotten Cameron, it more than likely would have killed him. So I am VERY thankful that things are not any worse than they are now.
Some nurse up at this hospital he is at now made some comment about how were gonna have some expensive medical bills, etc. I dont know if I was just irritated with what she said but I told her, I would much rather have hospital bills and have my husband than to have a funeral bill and not have my husband.

Thanks for the update Amy. At least things are progressing.

We were wondering about Cameron because I don't think you clarified what had happened to Cameron before. Good to know she is safe. What exactly is her situation tho? No injuries at all?

Anyways, looks like a lot of healing is going on. Hoping for a speedy one and God bless.

Amy we are all thinking of you, I just told mum and she said to be great full that he has another shot at life =] Keep safe and well.

Im so sorry to hear this amy. i hope Robert gets well soon. he is very lucky.

anyday you wake up you are blessed.

I couldnt say it any better. This whole incident has really made both of us step back and take a look at our lives and the way we are living.

Maybe I shouldnt put this out there in the open but I feel so compelled to share what he told his aunt. Sunday (the day after it happened) his aunt was sitting with him in his hospital room while I ran home to pack things.
She told me that he and her talked about some personal things. He told her that he really and truly thought his life was ending after he seen so much blood coming out his nose and mouth. He told her his whole life flashed before his eyes and told her that he has been treating me and the kids not very well for a while and that he needs to get his life straight. She said while he was saying these things he had tears running down his face.

Was thinking of you and your family today Amy and while doing meditations last night, these words came to me - I pray they lift your spirit.

When caught in the storms of life, it is easy to think that God has lost control and that we're at the mercy of the winds of fate. In reality, God is sovereign. He controls the history of the world as well as our personal destinies. Just as Jesus calmed the waves, he can calm whatever storms you may face.

How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.
Psalm 36:7

You and yours are in my prayers Amy.

Fondly,
Gracie
