when I picture you looking in my eyes
but I know, in my mind, is the only place

You were so special, so great to be around
that I couldn't believe, the beauty that I had found
Whenever you smiled, whenever you spoke
whenever you laughed, whenever you joked
When you were just being you
and never asking for more than I could give
When you understood the way things were
and still always managed to live,
life to its fullest, and always with a smile
I guess that's what made me love you
what made my life worthwhile

And I'm your biggest fan!

I would say that every girl I'm been with, I still have some love for. Especially when I remember the good times.
This girl in particular was a Korean girl who's parents had strict policies for every part of her life. As far as dating, she was only to date Korean guys with her older brother as a chaperone. So we went out to lunch alot and went to all our company's get-togethers. (I guess her parents forget to think about how to control her during those times!) The apartment complex where she lived, other people from our company lived also, so I could hang out there under the guise that I was visiting the other people. So, she would tell her Mom that she was going over to her friend's apartment and there I would be.
But she finally felt so guilty about not following her parent's "laws," so she let her parents set her up on dates with Korean guys. I'm sure she's been married for over 20 years with a few kids by now.

Beautiful story, Robert. I'm sorry that it ended like that. Love sometimes hurts but most times it's the most wonderful thing in the world. I hope you found even greater love in your life than that one.... you deserve best.
