and here I was thinking that I lived in a rural area..

I'm about a 15 - 20 minute drive into town, all on paved roads. 15 minutes to work on an average day and I can cut that down to 12 if I give 'er.

Deer and coyotes, birds and bees.... that's mainly what I sees.

In the summer we get a lot of Harleys driving by. They use our road as part of their scenic tour. Noisy bastards!

I love those aerial shots!

The first year that we moved out here to the country.... a guy came by with pictures he had taken from his small airplane of our acreage. We remembered this nutcase flying over our property and wondered what the hell he was doing! :D

I only have 10 acres and that seems like paradise. We have 2 small wooded areas that I just love. So do the deer and other wildlife.

What you have there, Guyzerr.... is definitely paradise.

That shot was provided by Google Earth but as I said it's a few years old.

Yea, motorcycle riders do the same thing in my area.

15-20 minutes into town isn't too bad, at least you're not completely isolated. I'd be pissed if I got home and forgot to get something while I was out. :D

It's not uncommon for me to make two or three trips into town on a Saturday or Sunday if it's raining. I get bored with nothing to do.

Well it is but can also be a hazard. We had a tree about 80' get uprooted and fall towards our house two years ago during a wind storm. We had to get a logger to come and buck it up and haul it away. The base was about 4' across so it was an oldie. It tore out the hydro wires and blocked the driveway and the only way for us to leave the yard was to drive through the cow pasture. That's not a lot of fun in a tiny car and to make matters worse we have two of them. Mrs.Guyzerr got real cranky about it cuz her car was just a few days old.

Since then we get a tad jittery when the wind blows cuz we are surrounded by the same type and size of trees.

I'll be sure to tell Mrs.Guyzerr that. I know exactly what she'll say... it will go something like this " um... sorry dear but I have a vicious headache. " If I play my cards right and ask her hows she's feeling first I might have a chance.

That would go something like this... me = you look a bit under the weather dear. Are you feeling ok? " to which she would reply.. " I feel just fine " to which I would respond.... " that's nice dear, now how about a Hummer. " :24:
