October is awesome when the weather cooperates. I love the changing colors.... the cider mills: apples, donuts, cider, smells in general.... but not the bees so much. LOL!
..... the cooler evenings and days.... having to cut the grass less and less.... not that I actually do have to cut the grass to begin with.
I love changing my wardrobe to flannels and jeans and sweatshirts/hoodies and boots! I love the first fires in the woodburner and the smell of smoke from surrounding homes doing the same thing.
Oh and Fred.... I don't watch football.
And I love walking through fallen leaves on the trails. The crunching sounds are very cool.

Football is great. I refering to pumpkin & Halloween. The other things you listed are favorites too.
Big screen HD a whiskey & coke and something off the grill & snacks.
Time change is not quite here but the days are shorter. Makes me want to hibernate.
HD is the only way to watch football. That is a given. You sir are a gentlelman and a scolar in my books. Cheers.
... I miss that... I like the rainy weather we get here in Calgary this time of year.. kinda makes things romantic and mysterious.
October is my second favourite month. The weather, the nights getting longer, leaves falling from the trees.. You can almost feel a magic in the air, that something is about to happen. It's just a lovely time of the year.

just your heels? wow...you women of the midwest are pretty strong.....October is a great month. It's gorgeous out, temps are very nice, and Halloween....well yea I love Halloween!
The only downfall is that it means winter is nipping at our heals.
hell, leaves havent even started to change here yet (southeast texas) they're all still green and pretty like its freakin spring! temps are still in the 80's, but its freakin october dammit! ive already started wearing my jeans, boots and long sleeved shirts!
What he's telling you is that it's significantly hotter in the South and it takes a lot longer for Fall weather to kick in. I've seen it be December before the leaves changed here.
LOL...Staci even said "y'alls leaves have started changing already!!!" And for some reason I totally saw "boots" as "boobs." LOL
