But any of you guys get kinda emmotional? I noticed I get emotional sometimes. I cry during movies or while reading a book. The moment I start crying I just wanna punch myself in the Jaw or do something manly, like some donuts in someone elses vehichle. Any of you other doods get like this?

Songs do that to me all the time. And things I've written. I make the songs too personal for me because I think about how they describe my life or a period in my life.

Out of all the men I've met in my life, the ones with the most honorable character are the ones that aren't afraid to show their hearts and drop some tears when something truly touches their soul.

That's what I do, I wish I didn't because often enough I can't listen to the song without thinking about the person or moment of my life where that song meant something to me.

I don't really cry anymore, it's probably been quite a few years since I had a good old cry.

But there is nothing wrong with crying, doesn't make you less of a man, probably makes you more of one

There are so many things I get schmaltzy over. To this day, even right as I type this if I think about it long enough, I can get emotional over the untimely death of my first best friend, a dog named Boss.

Or the death of my Grandaddy.

Every time I hear Pachabel's Canon in C, I tear up, no matter where I am or what I'm doing. I can be in an elevator. My wife walked down the aisle to it.

I think about my children's births, and I knot up.

If I think about The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and what He did for me, died for me, I'll tear up.

Hearing W's speech at Ground Zero on 9/14/01.

*leaving now to get a hanky*

I think as long as it's not destructive, being emotional makes you a better man, Boom. ;)

I agree with Grace. I really hate this stupid attitude some people have that men shouldn't show their emotions. It's a healthy release to let your emotions out. If you just keep them in, they build up and build up until you explode!

I like that. Unfortunately for me my emotions have sorta been "publically" numbed because of the environment I've lived in. All my buds, male and female call you a pansy ass or something like that if even if your eyes start to water.

Though when I listen to specific songs or watch movies like Click, as Boomer had mentioned (the part where the father dies on the road) it gets me all teary eyed. So I only watch those movies in privacy.

I blame society for forcing men into being the tough ones.
