It's just one of those days we've picked out to celebrate something. I don't go into grave detail on the day .. just a simple little gift that means something, not into the whole candy thing. I bought mine a scrabble game, because he loves it and someone took his and he didn't have one anymore.

I think it does usually mean more to people in relationships than single people though. I just had my first one where someone actually gave enough of a damn to participate .. and I'll tell ya, after 30 years of no one giving a damn .. it felt wonderful to actually have someone who did.

It may be a Hallmark holiday, but it's a sweet one. Some people aren't good at showing their emotions .. and need a little help .. that day helps those people express themselves a little more. Well, atleast thats what I think. lol Can also be used as a day to show everyone else how much you appreciate your Hunnie .

Well I guess from what I've seen in America its alot different. Round here you get yobs roaming the streets, egging and damaging peoples property and throwing fireworks around sometimes sticking them through peoples letterboxes!
