Ah poor spider! Seriously though, that looks a bit like the brown recluse which is deadly poisonous, do you get them in your part of the country?
I love spiders, especially some of the ones I came across in Australia. I had a redback there crawl down my arm which is the Australian equivelent of the black widow. I also loved the Huntsmen spiders which are harmless but are huge! Here's a picture of one.

neither brown recluse or the only graden spider it resembled to me are native to the east coast...so i dont know what it is...but we get them rather often so next time im gonna trap it and take it somewhere to find out

I seen this HUGE spider in my bathtub one night when I was home alone. I didnt know what to kill it with so I grabbed an encyclopedia and thru it on top of the spider in the bathtub. Killed it alright but I wasnt about it pick up that book YUCK! I left it for my husband to clean up.
