I'm using the nicotine gum right now and it makes me talk weird... so why is this is the computer hardware area? Cuz i juz spit up my nicotine gum into my wife's computer by accident. :24: I'm pretty sure that's not covered by the warranty lol!

nah i got it out with my screwdriver after it happened. i had just bought a new external hard drive for myself (WOOT!! 1TB!!) and i had cleared out my old "external-hanging-from-the-side-of-my-case-hard-drive" to give to my wife's computer. i had put the old one in and my wife asked me what i was doing and i said "i'm just finishpppffftt! fuck!" :24:
matter of fact i'm very lucky nothing shorted out cuz i had just turned the computer on. god her computer's been through hell and back (that's why she's not allowed to use mine... myspace facebook AIM viruses, etc...) btw anyone heard of a virus that makes the firefox browser window move around the screen away from your mouse pointer? that is her current problem... I've never heard of that... lol
look up how to start firefox up in safe mode; disable any addons (i've only a few, flash, wga, pdf i think, among a select few) that are not necessary for normal viewing.
for even more security, you could set the option to not let any website store anything, cookies (used during the current session, but deleted when firefox closes), histories (where one has surfed), downloaded files (cache, mine is set to 0 MB)..
among some early remedy options; other ones i am not too familiar with.

there's probably something in there that will fix this... add-ons... that brings to mind all the strange add-ons she's added-on. she probably got the "magic disappearing firefox" add-on lol
