I was on six different interstates yesterday, for the 2nd time.

I469w to I69s to I465n/s to I74w to I57s to I72w.

Don't pay attention to me, i'm just making random threads.

And about how far did you travel?

594.2 miles. I started keeping track in the morning when I got gas from the gas station by my apartment, all the way back to the same gas station.

I left at 8 am and arrived back at 7:45 pm.

It should only be a 4.75 hour trip, but I got stopped for 25 minutes by a ten car accident between MM 5 and 10 just north of I465, plus various pit stops for gas/restroom breaks.

I also just realized that I was within 20 miles of my aunts house at one point in Indy.

That's amazing, James.

What, you aren't enthusiastic about the Eisenhower interstate system?

The Dwight D. Eisenhower National System of Interstate and Defense Highways, commonly called the Interstate Highway System, is a network of freeways (also called expressways) in the United States. The Interstate Highway System is a separate system within the larger National Highway System. The entire system, as of 2004, had a total length of 46,837 miles (75,376 km) [1].
While Interstate Highways usually receive substantial federal funding and comply with federal standards, they are owned, built, and operated by the states in which they are located. The only exception is the federally owned Woodrow Wilson Bridge on the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495).

No, I was being serious. It's cool to just sit back and think of cool shit like that. I was thinking the other day, and I had sex in two different states.

Yeah, it was... I drove 300.3 miles to the cinema to fix a phone that went dead.

So it was only 293.9 on the way back. I'm thinking the difference is because of the detour I had to take off I69 to get around that accident.

btw the fog thing in the morning was so thick I almost hit two salt trucks doing 65 in a 70... you couldn't see anything until you were almost becoming one with the backend of it. Scary shit driving in fog.

By the time I drove there, and then got back in the truck to drive home, my back was hurting once I got back to I57. It was quite painful to sit there for another 4 hours with your lowerback shooting pain everywhere.

That sounds brutal. You use a company truck/van right? Because I wouldn't want to be putting that many miles on my personal car in one day.

Yeah, actually that was the best part. It was in the company truck...

... which has no goddamn cruise control, or tilt for the steering wheel.

Yeah, my right ankle/foot was hurting too, not as much as my back was though.

I know how that is. My car doesn't have cruise control. Driving to La Crosse is always painfull, especially if you're going like 65-80 you have to keep that gas pedal down with a little more force.
