Your unemployment status will depend on what they put on your termination paperwork that goes to the state labor board. If they write something different than what they told you and attempt to fight you on it, ask for a hearing before the board and testify what you were told as compared to what they actually put on your paperwork.

honestly it was called a way to get rid of staci. they have been doing several things for over a month now to me and i would not quit. hell i really hated the job but i also have a family to think of.

Since your position was eliminated, there are no grounds for them to contest your unemployment benefits. I'm sorry this happened. I'm in hopes with many of your fellow OTzies that this is more of a blessing in disguise and you will find something you enjoy.
