I have become a Curmudgeon.

When I was young I never thought I would ever listen to anything on the radio except Top 40 type stations. I lost interest in that 20 years ago. The last top 40 music I liked was in the 80's.

I like some things on television but I have never watched a full episode of "The Simpsons". I think "Family Guy" is beyond stupid, even the commercials are irritating. Never cared for "Sponge Bob Square Pants" or most other recent cartoon series. "Rugrats" theme is like fingernails on a chalkboard. I do not watch "Reality TV" competitions and have never got hooked on the shows where you know everything going on in some demented families lives. I don't get into celebrity worship.

I do not play video games either.

I like sports but even some of those I am too ADHD to sit through anymore. It has been years since I suffered through more than a few innings of a baseball game. I have even skipped the world series the last 5 or more years. When I was younger I loved baseball. I only get into basketball during March Madness and the NBA play-offs. I have no interest in car racing of any kind.

Before my eyesight began to fade I loved reading books. Now even that is more of a chore than a pleasure.

do you need a sense of direction or a new hobby?

I still bowl. I like playing tennis and fishing. My wife and I like to eat at new restaurants. I have home projects outside of work and enjoy the sense of accomplishment of building things.

There's bound to be some show on TV that sparks your interest. Video games can be a little more difficult to get into, you'll need a gaming PC and crap. Keep in mind though, COD isn't the only game out there, there's lots of different types of games.

If I have nothing else to do, I read my kindle. But I mostly reserve that for winding down. Reading isn't really that fun for me lol.

I like some TV shows just not reality TV as a rule.

Once in a while some of the silly judge shows are funny. Hate the HGTV and reality shows. Lately we have been watching some old westerns and they are better than most of the current TV fare. Hell, even the weather channel is more reality than weather anymore.
