I hate when people say

But seeing you are only one country in two huge continents of America, it is rather arrogant to expect people to automatically assume that because you're from America you must be from the USA.

It's not arrogant. It's just how it is. We have our name as "United States of AMERICA". So America is part of our name and that's how we call ourselves. I dunno how it got started that way. I just know that's the way it is.

It's people who mention "America" in general. "Things here in America."

I dunno, bugs me. But hey, gave you people something to have a small debate over, bahaahah. ;)
