I was trying to find out membership prices to Alfond (Boys & girls Club/YMCA) for a friend because it looks like they went and upped membership since I've been there and the dumb lady thought I was talking about myself.

I CLEARLY said it was for a FRIEND I'd forgotten what the regular price was since I get financial aid help for being a member and she went on and on about me coming in and renewing my membership.

happens very often if call is anything even slightly deviant from the script.

best thing for you to do is just ask them how much it is and get away.
 
Back in the day when I lived in my hometown I had satellite TV. When I moved out here I wanted to cancel everything and close my account. So I call my provider, tell the CSR that I'm moving and I'd like to close my account,yadda yadda yadda. It was all cool until she started going on about putting my account on hold for 6 months and then I could re-activate it without incurring extra charges. I declined and said I just wanted to close it and be done with it. She kept going on about putting it on hold. NO! JUST CLOSE THE FREAKING ACCOUNT!!! :willy_nilly: I actuallly came close to yelling at her. I knew that where I was going I wouldn't have my own place, I wouldn't have a TV and I wouldn't be able to afford satellite anyway. I felt like a broken record trying to tell her this. I think I repeated myself 3 or 4 times. That has been my most frustrating phone call to date. :D
