i got in a fuckin accident like 20 mins ago

I was driving down the highway, when everybody fuckin stopped all of a sudden. i slammed on my brakes and had to swerve into the ditch to miss this vehicle infront of me. well just as im passing her she decides to swerve into the ditch as well and side swipes me. Atleast there was a guy who pulled over and said he was a witness. it would seem it her fault. but god damn what a crap start to a crap day.

yeah im fine. it wasnt to major. like we both kinda agreed that the damage was under 1000 each. so cops didnt need to be called. we exchanged numbers and info and were on our way. i have a feeling that witness is gonna be my saving grace. he talked to me aside and said its definetly her fault.....

For instance, forgetting something in the house when you are getting ready to pull out of the drive way may have saved us from being in a 4 car pile up. So you never know, it may have been a blessing in disguise.

with insurance these days you need all the help you can get they'll put some of the blame on you for just getting up this morning and getting behind the wheel , i've seen so many people get screwed in all my years ,mostly from people lying a witness is good but a police report is 10 times better and still not bullet proof pardon the pon.

him going to the police after the fact isn't going to get you a report the cops are not going to be much help in this case being they weren't call to the place the accident occurred.

but its law that you dont need to if the damage is guessed to be under 2000. I still do have to go to the cops station and report the accident. and i will have to fill the report out then

now that i think about it this could have been so much worse. I could have rear ended her going highway speeds, had my airbags deploy which would more than likely write my car off......and i coulda been really hurt....guess theres a positive.

ok lets say you right , all they can do is write what you say happened and it will just be your word against the other driver so the cops getting involved now wont help you much ,at this point you really need the other driver to say it was all they're falt to the cops/insurance and even if they said that to the insurance co i promise the other drivers insurance will still try to put some of the blame on you .
