I fucked up

Today was horrible. I overloaded one of our trucks and sent them out. They got stopped by DOT and he was 18,262 pounds over weight. The truck weighed a grand total of 98,262 pounds.

Plus they made a grocery list of things we have to fix on that truck before it can be driven again.

PLUS the $1000 wrecker bill from getting it towed back to the shop from Benton, AR.

I should have stayed in bed today!!! Haha!!!

Yeah cause I'm good like that!!! We usually only carry 8 units of sheetrock at a time... but we had a huuuge order. So we stuck 16 on one truck.... I'm talking thousands of dollars in fines... high 7 digits including the fines on the worn out ass truck that was carrying it.

Oh BTW... I put my 2 weeks notice in today...

Yeah cause I'm good like that!!! We usually only carry 8 units of sheetrock at a time... but we had a huuuge order. So we stuck 16 on one truck.... I'm talking thousands of dollars in fines... high 7 digits including the fines on the worn out ass truck that was carrying it.

that sucks, wont they personally fine the truck driver? I know thats how it works in ohio. The company gets fined, as well as the truck driver. dont know about the operater loading the truck.

Thats wierd, here I'm certain that the driver gets a fine also, and possible lisence suspension. Since he is the driver, he is ultimately responsible for cecking his load and making sure it is under spec, along with his truck.

Yeah he got fined. But the boss is paying them too. I don't think they are suspending his lisence, but I am not totally for sure on that. Oh well ,I'm out of there anyway. This time next week I'll be back in a truck myself.
