Dont think they can put points on your license for that but you could get done for fraud and your insurance could be void. At the very least the'll charge you the difference for what you should have paid plus costs.

A similar thing happened to my ex, except, rather than points, be didn't declare a past accident. Nothing amounted to it other than having to pay a back payment. It didn't effect any further claims or insurance policy updates. Don't worry. :)

Well, got a bit of an answer.

They still hadn't called back when I got home from work so I called and explained the situation again to another adviser. She was a lot more specific than the last one - she said they never insure people with the sort of conviction my boyfriend has, so in all likelihood our policy would be voided :(

It sucks because now he's going to have a conviction and an insurance cancellation on his record, so we're going to have to go to a specialist insurer with higher rates that'll take the risk - no regular company will take us.

On the other hand, at least it sounds like the police won't be involved unless they deem it serious. That's the last hurdle, to hope they just void it and leave it at that.

I've been crying a lot tonight because right now, it feels like our life is falling apart at the seams. I don't feel like eating or going to work tomorrow - all I want is to curl up in bed and forget about all of this :(
