I dont know what I did, but my jaw

HURTS SO BAD!!!! yesterday my jaw started hurting way up by my ear and I have no clue whats causing it. Anyone have any ideas and/or thoughts on what to do to make it feel better? Or what I may have done to cause it to hurt? Ive had a migraine pretty much since friday off and on if that makes a difference in anyones armchair diagnosis for me :)
 
my wife suffers from TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Syndrome)

and she occasionally suffers massive pain and the best thing she does for it is take some Tylenol PM. the pain is usually after periods of high stress...do hope you feel better, if it persists she said to go see a doctor to make the correct prognosis....
 
I have some TMJ issues. It flared up so bad, one time, the right side of my jaw couldnt close all the way. Its EXTREMELY painful and annoying. I still get some issues with it but I press really hard on my jaw, clench my teeth, hear a pop and enjoy relief. I wouldnt exactly suggest that as it hurts and is probably not the correct way to tend to this. Works for me though.

Booms did you go to the regular doc to have that diagnosed because honestly that may be it, my jaw does pop sometimes. I tried to do what you say you do just now and no pop but damn it sure just made it hurt worse and now I have a headache again. That will learn me for trying to get a quick fix.


As far as tonsel hockey yes I still have my tonsils and I havent ever had any complaints and think I am pretty good at that sport if I do say so myself
 
this happened to my Aunt and the doctor said it was TMJ aggravated by her allergies??

apparently her allergies were making her Eustachian tubes clogged and swollen which in turn made the muscles, etc. in her jaw aggravated and swollen and then boom! it did something to her jaw.
