When I rush to turn my camera on, it goes straight past the Auto option to "M." It's worse on my digital! Too many options! At least on film I have become familiar enough with the dials and buttons to adjust quickly!!

My on the fly digital photos are horrible. I am struggling with technology and it makes me feel old and stuck in my ways!

Most of the time it is on 'M' and 'Tv', because I find those modes the best:thumbup

I took a class a long time ago and the teacher let us shoot on Tv, but now I just go all the way to M. But like I said digital camera has too many options - I mean technically it only has the one extra - the ISO, but it also has the grid for focusing that I know I can adjust and well it just makes for too many choices to be made in one second.

Digital is more technical and I think a little less art than film, but I definitely give it mad props. For people who say digital is easier is full of bull.

I have never been on a course, but find that digital is far too easy for me, I keep bleating to everyone, 'I want to try a film camera', because I want a challenge, not just click click click all the time

then try it! you can find a good old manual for $100

the problem is then processing the film. it's better to learn in a darkroom, but it's hard to find darkrooms.
