I Am...

I was looking at my Pandora description of all things and it inspired me to write....

I'm an artist, a poet, a thinker. I'm emotional, hypocritical. I'm a trend whore. a music lover. I'm a geek and a nerd. I'm too school for cool. I'm nobody's fool. I'm a bit vain... A little self conscious but I don't let it show. Some people may think I'm cocky or have a chip on my shoulder but they simply don't know the real me. I'm a loner most of the time but love to be social. Is that a contradiction? I'm a lover of food and love to cook.

I Am

I'm an artist, a poet, a dreamer, a thinker.
A lover, not a fighter
A simple man searching for a future brighter.
A lover, a son, a brother, a bastard.
A part time drunk, when I want to forget.
Just for a moment that this life doesn't matter.
A soul, a spirit, free to sail.
A fallacy, a crumbling apex covered within a thin veil.
A male, a man, a simplistically complex creature.
Looking for love, life, happiness
Something grander than I am, nothing meager.
Intriguing, astounding, fantastic
Even if I have to battle through everything tragic
Searching for that magic.
The spark, that light.
The single thing that gives meaning to life.
A lover, a confidant, wife.
Love everlasting, from day til night.
A poet, with heavy heart, worn on tattered sleeves.
Creative creature, searching for his destiny.
