I am writing a paper. What are you doing?

Every Monday morning I write the paper that is due on Monday night for class.

What can I say? I work better under pressure. I have a 3.9 GPA so it must be working fine for me.

Here's the problem, I get bored easily. So I need to multi-task.

I just got back home. Got up early to get ready for work while hubbub got ready to go back to college. He got in his truck to leave and...truck didn't start. So I took the day off to help him take it to get it fixed. Going to relax for a bit before I try to clean up around the house.

to both of you, you didn't feel the urgency to get papers done? did you do better under the looming day before a paper was due? I mean I procrastinate as much as everyone else and my grades weren't super awesome, but I didn't fail...

I use the "Notes" app on my iPhone. It helps me a lot. YMMV.

It's on analyzing messages in a business environment. This class is COMM470 - Communicating in the Virtual Workplace. So far it's interesting, but not overly interesting. If that makes sense?

What's wrong with the truck? Battery? Distributor?

I feel the urgency the entire week I am procrastinating. However, I am well aware of my capabilities so I convince myself it's okay to wait. It's a vicious cycle.

I've been known to write A+ papers about an hour before they're due. :24: Don't get me wrong, I shouldn't procrastinate that badly... but unfortunately, my previous successes with doing that make me more likely to do it.

Hmm. I want to say it sounds interesting but I don't know whether it does or not. I don't know anything about business.

Just ended up being the battery. I feel silly for taking off work for something so simple. However, I have to say I am thankful for the day off and I am thankful it didn't cost us an arm and a leg!

Hmm. I want to say it sounds interesting but I don't know whether it does or not. I don't know anything about business.

It deals heavily with the process of communication and how tone, technology, noise, subject, and environment all have an impact on how messages are sent and received.

The more I think about it, the less interesting it becomes. :24:

I would stress about the paper for weeks but wouldn't do a thing about it until the night before. It was almost like I couldn't bring myself to deal with the stress until the night before when it just HAD to be done.

I have nothing to compare it to because that is the way I have always done things. It seemed to work well enough for me though. The only class I didn't get an A in in college was Marriage in the Christian Home. That has been a long running joke between my husband and myself. I fail at marriage. HA!

interesting little dynamic going on here...some people work well when the pressure is on while others (like me) barely squeak by with a C/C- when under the same workload...
