I occasionally read facebook comments from my children and cannot resist to respond. My children know me and that the object of my comment is usually to get a chuckle or to impart a little advice without being overbearing. Some of their friends seem to feel a need to explain to me my children's comments as though I am not smart enough to understand on my own. For example today my son was complaining about a literature class. One of his friends felt a need to explain to me how in a literature class they study the underlying meaning of the literary piece. Well duh. I went to college and even did that in high school.
