Hugger or a non-hugger?

am in a country where we rarely hug, even if it's a mother and her kid! fucking depressing
I'm a big time hugger. I hug frequently my close friends and family and if someone is having a bad day or is sad I will hug them, especially women. My mom was definitely NOT a hugger. Hugging her was like hugging a tree.
So if any of you ever meet me....BEWARE

I am hugger to my family and friends especially close friends. Some co-workers IF we've developed the friendship .At times too to welcome back a co-worker who had been gone on leave or vacation-- I say i miss them and hug them ( Again if I am friends with them

I'm glad he had the forethought to tell me otherwise we might have had one of those awkward unsure moments where you don't realise what the other person wants to do until they've got their arms round you.

I've experienced one awkward moment with a guy I dated b4. On our first date- as soon as he saw me, he came eagerly approaching me and gave me a tight hug. I froze and unable to respond back. Given he's muscular and a 6 feet tall dude, I felt like a small kid squashed in his tight hug. It felt very awkward tho' :ninja :willy_nilly:
I hug my family and a few close friends when we meet and part. I squeeze hubby any time I can get my arms around him. Even Riley gets hugs. I will occasionally hug someone I wouldn't normally hug if they've told me something sad and I've determined they need a hug. I do ask first, though.
Unless you are family, don't touch me lol. I have serious personal space issues. Def not a hugger.
Hugger, especially to people who don't have someone to hug them every day.:smiley31:
I have an aunt who is no longer with us. Her hugs hurt. You would still feel her arms around you an hour later. RIP Aunt Ivy.

I am somewhat standoffish. Hugging is not my first inclination.
all family I hug except the somewhat creepy very inappropriate uncle....close friends get hugs too. occasionaly my bf's close friends...but only when they go for it first.
side note: I have to say sadly I sometimes veer away from hugging my grandma lately though...she insists trying to kiss me on the lips too. Now that I wont do....I only kiss my daughter (until she gets old enough where that grosses her out) and my bf on the lips.
