Volunteering, even an hour weekly, boosts purpose and fights depression. Helping others sparks joy and connection. Find a local cause you care about. Giving back heals your heart, building hope and community one small act at a time.
What cause do you volunteer for? How does helping others feel?

Volunteering lifts depressive moods by creating a sense of purpose, boosting self-worth, and reducing feelings of isolation. Helping others activates reward centers in the brain, releasing feel-good chemicals like dopamine and oxytocin. Volunteering also builds routine and social engagement, which are important for mental well-being. Even small acts of service can significantly improve mood and emotional resilience over time.

I have never done it but when I was in college, I did apply for a volunteering but sadly they never called me. Volunteering means you are helping people, when you help people you always feel good, when you feel good your will be able to help yourself form stress, anxiety, depression.

Volunteering can bring joy in your life. For example, if you are a health volunteer, then you may find relief when you help others in the best possible manner. Providing relief to others can surely bring relief in your own life.
