How many forum sites do you go on?

I was given the boot from a forum a few weeks ago. The forum has a couple copy and paste trolls..that will flood threads with copy and pasted articles while refusing to engage in discussion...Its purely politically agenda driven copy and paste posts.

Any way active participation had declined there due to the trolls...I had popped in to make a few posts as I knew alot of people there and had been pretty active at one time.

The subject of discussions had come up ...I stated that alot of people had left that forum {about two thirds} due to the trolls as they actually liked to have discussions.
I didnt mention any names.
Didnt point out any forum names.
I was merely pointing out that I wasnt around much as others werent around much ,,as they left due to the trolls.
I actually stuck it out longer than anyone.
Any way my post was edited and I was banned.

I merely stated that I wasnt around as much as most people had left that actually had discussions..as they had left due to the copy and paste thread flooding.and had went to other places with stricter rules in regard to trolling.

You thought I would have been doing em a favor ?


I just went and looked to give an example...one thread with 3800 posts has 3300 of them by one member...that is a political debate thread by the way...how is any discussion going to take place?
Its just copy and paste with an agenda.
That one person will go from thread to thread and copy and paste 4 or 5 posts in a row..then on to the next thread to do the same.
A couple others do the same but do not stay as busy at it....any way active participation had severely declined from others as a result.

Wow, that's pretty shitty. I've heard of a lot of forums out there, though, where the admins will ban anybody who speaks out against them. Those who THINK they're on a forum like that never realize the truth until they're on a forum that really IS like that.

The first forum I ever moderated at is now defunct. I remember, shortly before I stopped being a regular there, drama galore b/c one of the mods was fucking the admin and it ended badly. She came on and called him a "minute man" and he edited her post so she posted it AGAIN...it just went downhill from there. She WAS demodded, but she was never banned.

Thats just it..I didnt speak out against them {staff}...I merely pointed out why there many members that no longer logged in.
My post was aimed at the trolls not the staff.
They had taken a habit of editing posts in the last several months anyway....Not corrections,but to change the context of a discussion.
Many posts just disappear.
Once the habit of censoring starts its just to easy to continue the habit...to control the context a certain direction.
When I had a website I only edited spam..everything else stayed regardless...It can put you in some tough positions granted, but it is those tough positions that give us the ability to handle those situations to begin with.

Even if you DID speak out against the staff, it's still not a reason for banning someone. Hell, I got called the N-word while I was an admin here. Did it offend me??? HELL YES...I fucking detest that word. Was it a bannable offense??? Nope. Did that person get neg rep telling them what I thought??? Yep.

Most of the forums I comment on are general discussion forums. Forums that you can only talk about specific issues such as health or sports are too limiting for me.

This is the only board I am presently active on as a member..

I do have many other memberships but have not been active on others so various reason including lack of time, which is a major one.

I also have two domains ( forums ) and a blog..

Hmm i used to be on many that i left either bored or reason i had enough of how some peple act there ..now i only visit this and another two .. I dont post often at all on all maybe i check everyday but not on big on posting
this year i been lazy of posting

I was at PureTalkForum which has been discontinued around April 2012.
I found another forum but it kept routed me in identifying images instead of directing to the homepage.
Yes...I know my pw.
Got a pop up not trusting me.
"In order to trust you as a member,please identify the images below."
Huh... did the images correctly(several times)but I was continually blocked.
I no longer visit the site..sorry Apostle.

I found a "one man who is the only one posting" forum which the name will not be presented.
