When I used to attemp to pick up girls in HS/while Im at college, its really not TOO hard, and I am NOT some attractive guy. The trick is just knowing how to engage is the proper conversation. To be honest, I disagree. It's the blokes who have a game plan who usually come off worse and put women off. The blokes who get most are the ones who are just themselves and arn't drooling all over anything in a skirt but just talking to them and treating them like a person, not an object.
