No, I won't waste my vote. I'm not going to help Romney get elected. The structure of voting needs to be fixed. Instant runoff voting is the answer.
You talk long sighted & act short-sighted ... just like a republocrat. Carry on, partisan. I just wish you were more honest - with us, with yourself, whatever - so that your behavior matches your rhetoric.

I'm more realistic in my views than you are. I vote 3rd party when I think there is a chance. There ain't one this time. Sometimes you are too damn pompous for your own good. Who are you voting for? I need an answer before I can criticize you any further. ;)

Why? You haven't let reality or truth stand in your way before. ;)
You've already asked and I've already answered. I'm hurt that you don't remember. :( Go research it yourself. I did.

As for realism, you ignore history, especially recent trends in Republocrat actions. You claim you vote third party when you think there is a chance. A chance to win, I presume. But while giving your vote to the guy that will probably get the most votes might represent winning for him, it doesn't necessarily mean a win for you. In this particular case, neither candidate likely to get the most votes represents a win for me (or for you, which you'd understand if you weren't such a sheep), so there's no reason to give them my vote. So instead of wasting it on either Republocrat, I will use it to send a message.

I think your message will land on deaf ears until enough people are willing to waste their vote to send one that will be heard. There is not enough support for any 3rd party candidate to make a difference this time around. Ross Perot seemed to have a chance, although I did not really like him. So it can happen. Maybe someone in the future will arise.

We've beaten this dead horse enough. ;)

It's hardly wasted. The real waste is voting for someone simply because you want to be on the winning side.

True, unfortunate, and not relevant at this time.

Maybe someone in the future will arise.
Maybe. And when that happens you can log on and rationalize why you voted Republocrat once again.

We've beaten this dead horse enough. ;)
Ah, you feel your make-believe defenses weakening.

I have a theory that having to abandon a deeply held belief is a similar emotional process to losing a loved one.
  • Denial
  • Anger
  • Rationalization
  • Depression
  • Acceptance

I'm hopeful that you will get really angry soon ... probably shortly after the election.

You are so smart. I just don't know how I can compete with you...

That's the vicious cycle that is preventing you guys from getting the viable third party you want.
