Death is a unbelievable and terrible reality..These questions are some of the hardest for parents to answer, especially because most have not examined their own feelings, emotions and belief systems ..If you have religious beliefs that bring you comfort and you want to explain death in that concept, you still need to phrases answers so the child has an accurate understanding.

I have often wondered how I can tell my children about the realities of death, using helpful and easily accessible pre-made quotes. My hope is to keep them at peace with soothing phrases guided by our lord god. Can anyone help me?

Comfort from religious fairytales about death? Religion is bullshit. We told our kids the truth about death.

The truth is nobody knows what happens when we die. Death is part of the natural course of a human life. Some die young, some die old - shit happens - that's the truth. Accept the fact that we are all going to die some day - it is nothing to fear.

My son was 3 when my dad died, and he was 4 when my mom died. He has a very good understanding of death already. At a way too early age.

i fucking welcome it!

thats right,...when its my time im gonna look death straight in the hood and say "what the fuck took you so long?,...i could have gotten hurt doing that shit!!!"

....and ill finally be able to sleep for as long as i want,..not have to think about any of the bullshit going on in the world or how stupid people are fucking it up.

what im not looking forward to is afterwards....nope,..im probably going to end up getting a 12" wide flaming poker shoved in my ass for an eternity while Satans demonic kittens swat at my balls with razor sharp claws...nope ...not looking forward to that at all
