If you don't smoke, you might also want to discourage smokers, how do you do it? Well, telling them that smoking causes cancer may sound empty. Maybe you could try different tactics, you might warn girls about premature aging and boys about reduced stamina and sexual health. Perhaps talking about aging and sexual performance might hit them hard compared to talking about cancer. These days, people, mostly young people, are more likely to care about how their habits affect their looks and lifestyle than long-term health risks.

Convincing someone to quit smoking worksthrough empathy, information, and support rather than pressure. Explain health risks clearly, highlight benefits of quitting, and offer practical tools like counseling, nicotine replacement, or support groups.

Personal stories or relatable examples often resonate more than statistics alone. Encourage small steps, celebrate progress, and address stress or triggers compassionately.

I usually focus on motivation and support rather than pressure. Sharing clear health risks, personal stories, or benefits of quitting like better energy and finances can help. Pairing that with practical tools, like counseling, apps, or nicotine alternatives, increases the chance of success.

I think approaching them with motivation can help. Don't make them feel bad for smoking, but do warn them of the issues that can come down the line if they don't quit.
