Did your life turn out like you thought it would when you were younger? As a kid, I was very shy and stuck to myself. I was made fun of in school. I never thought I would get married. I worked in retail in high school and liked it and thought I would stay in that. Today, I am married to my husband for 17 years and have 2 children. I have been a stay at home now for 9 years. I never thought this is how my life would have turned out, but I'm glad it did. I absolutely LOVE it!!!

Yeah, I guess it did, I'm 58, there was a time when I thought I might die before I reached this age. Fortunately, medicines have changed over the years and my health has gotten better. I has asthma as a kid, it was Bad.

Nope, I've been really sick for the last 2 and half years... going to be 3 years soon. I never imagined my life would turn out the way it did, I'm 26 and I'm still waiting for things to improve. I just hope I can get rid of this disease soon... so I can go on with my life and I can start working outside home. I just want to live a normal life again, that's all I'm asking. No idea how long it will take or if it will ever happen at all, but I'm living with the hope that will happen sooner or later and is that hope the thing that really keeps me going. Thinking about how perfect things were in the past makes me feel a bit better :) Because I like to think things will be like that very soon again. I can only hope!

Not at all, My dream was to be a air-hostess and by the time I was 3o, I would have made a few millions. I was to marry my prince charming around that time and by 35 years, be through with having my 2 kids.

Mmmmm... am a stay home mum, one child, and married. I think the only achievement I have to be proud of now, is my beautiful daughter.

When I was 11 I wrote myself a note to read on my 21st birthday. I kept it in a special box that I made as a present to my 21-year-old self and tucked it away in my parents garage. I'd forgotten about it until my mother reminded me about it when I turned 21 (I'm 22 now). When I read the note, it basically said "You'd better be a rich and famous superstar by now or you're a failure and I hate you." So yeah, things didn't exactly turn out the way my 11-year-old self wanted...

If you don't mind me asking, but what disease do you have?

I hope you get better soon!

Not at all. When I was leaving HS I thought that I'd get a Computer Science degree and then get a job for a big company. I dropped out of college, joined the Army, became a paratrooper, then got an Associates in Electronics. Not the way I pictured it going, but it did seem to work out in the end.

22 years old currently in college waiting to go to University. Sure, there are some things I would have done differently but I've never regretted anything I've done.

I'm sorry to hear about your health. If you don't mind, I will keep you in my prayers.

My life is nothing like I thought it would be when I was younger. I had hopes of becoming famous and being in a girl band when i was older, and now that I am older and now that I have learned the things that I have learned in life , being in a girl band would be the furthest thing that I want to do. I just want to be happy, which is surprisingly difficult in today's world. That is success to me now. still striving to achieve it.
