We're up shit creek too. At least the USA have got rid of the twats who got them into this mess now, we still have to wait for the one eyed Scottish cunt to call an election to get rid of the prat who fucked up our economy, god knows when that will be, even his own party want him to just go.

I wish that were true. The same twats in Congress are still calling the shots at the behest of powerful lobbyists - same as it ever was. NOTHING has changed with a new President coming in. These problems started decades ago and are only now coming home to roost.

At least your economic mess is slowing down and there's now a light at the end of the tunnel.

I disagree. The light at the end of the tunnel is a train called "Trillion Dollar Deficits" that is bearing down right on us. It won't be pretty when the bills come in.

Following the credit card theme:

All we've done is taken out a new credit card with high limit and bought a bunch of new furniture. Sure, the house looks a tad brighter today - but weve done nothing to address the fact that we can't pay the bills we already have - and have doubled our monthly payments. It's a blueprint for failure of a catastrophic level.

Yeah, America sucks, it's all our fault, we're horrible.

Explain how the fault doesn't go to ANYBODY else? :thumbdown

Um. people will always blame others before themselves.

America (or at least, the United States) is a "good" target.

But that does not mean the people are right in their distribution of the blame.

Just because you can get credit, does not mean you should.

Kelvin is Anti-America so I really don't know why people are indulging him.
Much earlier I was accused of being anti-british here and now its anti-american. Next will be anti-asian I guess. You guys need to do a realty check and accept the harsh realities instead of being in denial mode.

At the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland, the president's confidant and advisor Valery Jarrett continued with apologies. This time to the world's business and political movers and shakers.
Ms. Jarrett told the crowd that this economic crisis did not occur by "happenstance" but is the result of our "profound irresponsibility."
And the Europeans, Asians, and Russians couldn't have agreed more.
"Chinese and Russian leaders blamed a free-wheeling U.S. financial system as the source of the global economic crisis," according the Wall Street Journal.
