I'm putting in an application for Backyard Burgers as a cashier. I have never worked fast food before and I hate the line that says rate of pay desired. What's a good per hour amount to ask for?

Take away shops are always rather bad to work at.. At Maccas I got $6.50 p/h and at another take away shop I got $8 p/h and $10 p/h on Sat and Sun..
