gay marriage is wrong. the thing is, gays are also people. and they didnt choose to be gay. so they should be allowed to marry, just like anyone else. if they dont, they should get a free lifetime supply of red lobster dinners.

Homosexuality is wrong, as stated in the bible... but we're beyond that arguement. Gay marriage is only "wrong" because another man says it's wrong.

I really cant argue with you, whatever anybody says you'll still think the same. Anyways, a marriage is a holy agreement between a man and a woman. They make kids, raise them. Gays don't have kids. They should adopt one. One that raised, not the one who made will count for a parent. I don't care if you're gay or not couple, don't have a child, to me that's not honorable.

A marriage is a legal institution - which is the reason why you need a marriage license from the state to get married. It's also the reason why a city court judge can marry you.

People still do it in church's simply because of their religious beliefs, but it's not legally a Holy agreement. You can't simply walk into a church and get married, legally.

I'm not talking about the loving bond between a man/woman and his/her significant other. I'm simply talking the legal aspect behind marriage itself.

To the individual, the marriage should always be more than a legal binding contract, obviously. I'm just pointing out that it shouldn't matter if they're a man and a woman, woman and a woman, or a man and a man. They should have the legal right to be bonded and do as they please.

Despite what you think, being raised by homosexual's doesn't make a Kid gay, if anything else, they're more used to it than any other kids might be.

Marriage is a holy unity of two souls... most religions have one form or another have marriage (unity of MAN and WOMAN) the gov. got in on it a LONG ass time after the institution was put in place. marriage has been around as long as religion... no gov. has been around anywhere near that long...

as for homosexuals and marriage its wrong to allow them to marry is like a backdoor way for them to get approval for what they do.. now i have no problem with homosexuals off hand they dont effect my life directly...

I don't care what your religion says. To get married you have to legally be able to do that by the state. I'll get into this later.

edit: now that I'm not being distracted. Religion and marriage only plays a roll in a marriage BETWEEN the couple. The state of XX doesn't give two flying fucks what your religion is. If you've gotten all your paperwork from the state, only then can you get married. Period. Yes people get married in the House of God, yes people are religious to the point that they want a traditional marriage from a priest with flowers and family and expensive shit in church, but it's not a prerequisite to being able to legally do it.

Yes, to get the perks of marriage like lower auto/homeowners insurance, lower health insurance, etc. I personally have no problems with gays getting married. Do what you want. It's your life... and it doesn't effect me in the slightest.

you are still going off marriage is a government institution... the government horned in on the marriage bit long after it was brought about... and btw you are wrong there are 3 ways to be "legally married" without a single peice of paper form teh state. it is not right for the government to say that it is ok for gays to get married...
