I found out this morning I'm supposed to be in Iraq by the 16th of this month. I'm freakin excited, I can't wait. It was a hell of a surprise, but apparently they need someone to do my job and I'm the only available one on the East Coast, so go me!!!

I heard most of the vehicles are armored now...j/k i fix electronics so i'll be as close to the rear as possible without doing paperwork.

She's flying up this week to get married, we had decided to wait til her spring break in march, but now i can make about $1300 tax-free every month, so why wait!

I leave Feb 1st and I won't be back until April 2nd 07. One year will be in Iraq, the other 2 months is workup training and debrief crap. I'm so damn excited. It's a long time to be away from my family and all that, but it's also a hell of a lot of cash, so it balances out
