AHH! For those of you who might actually remember me:
Sorry for the long absence. I just came back from a three week vacation in Asia. I spent 2 weeks where my mom grew up in the Philipines, and 6 days in Hong Kong. We just sort of randomly went to Hong Kong, there was no real purpose. I think my parents just wanted to score some fake, inexpensive stuff. That sorta thing was always available.
To no one's great surprise, Hong Kong was pretty much an enormous Chinatown. I mean, there were some really cool tourist sites and historical sites, but we stuck around in the commercial areas most of the time, which were the most Chinatown-esque.
The Philipines was pretty cool. We stayed on my grandpa's farm with all the goats and chickens and mango trees. Pretty awesome stuff. It was funny, though, when the school children saw my dad, who's whiter than a bed sheet. They were all staring in amazement and utter confusion. This was in a rural area, so its likely that they've never seen a tall, white guy before.
Thats pretty much my past 3 weeks in a nutshell.
I'm glad to be back home though. So, what did I miss going on here?
