I found the best way to talk to someone you like is to just try to blank out in your head the fact you like this person and just start talking as though you were talking to a perfect stranger you're not attracted to.
Yes I know it's hard not to be nervous, but you really have nothing to lose beyond talking to someone.
Approach it with no expectations, but with all the confidence in the world.
Have a genuine curiosity as to who she is and what her story is.
The worst thing that can happen in that situation is you get to learn about her, and have always have a reason to chat with her.
