What do they do at those conferences? Read papers?

I had the opportunity to go to a writing conference in New Hampshire but didn't go because I didn't want to miss out on spring break.

not really, it is a gathering of professionals and students and teachers in exchange of their ideas on how to teach an aspect of sociology or hear real life experiences of people who have first hand knowledge on something that has happened to them...its quite unique...something you can't read about in textbooks.
