A little reading on Morell shows him to be career oriented in government work, even functioning in the Bush administration as a manager of Bush's daily briefings.
What Petraeus might have testified to is now only speculative....but I suspect Morell has been up to speed for some time and knows the score.

I don't even get the scandal spin. Nobody gets to that level without some narcissism. It requires a bit of feeling of entitlement, so it stands to reason that he would believe that a man deserving of that much power is also deserving of an extra woman or two. It happened. How does activity in secret disqualify him from being the head of a spy organization??

Possible....but also....he might not have been up to the job to start with.
Just because he was a well respected General doesn't make him an expert at running an intelligence gathering operation.

What I find amazing is that the mistress does seem like a remarkable woman. As remarkable as she was, she was stupid enough to send a threatening e-mail.

The million dollar quesiton now becomes who was the other woman the threatening e-mail was sent to, and what was her role in this whole mess?

As smart of a man as the CIA director must of been, you would of thought he would of been smart enough to realize that if you're going to fool around and you don't want to get caught, get it on with a bimbo FAR away from where you work/live, who has no clue who you are, and leave no contact info behind to trace your tracks.
