I never was diagnosed. I was sick before the pandemic was known worldwide. I was sick once since but just stayed home a few days. I never consulted a doctor or took a covid test.

I'm someone who rarely gets sick. Like, to the point where I had a streak of not calling into work for 7 years straight. I have been sick during that time, just was lucky (Or unlucky) enough to have it fall on my day off.

My GF went to a trip on a weekend trip with her friends to Toronto in 2022 and was partying. She was sending me videos, and I'm like, she's going to catch covid. I'm going to keep my distance from her for a little bit LOL. Unfortuantely, the first Monday back after the weekend was Valentines day, so she showed up to surprise me. Oh well, I made the best of it and spent time with her.

Sure enough, next day, she tests positive. The next day following, I'm told not to go into work. I felt fine, but got progressively worst as the day and night went on. I fell hard. I never did the test, but it was a no brainer. I had covid. Felt like i got hit by a train during it's peak. For the first time in a very long time, I not only had to call into work, but I had to call in for the duration of the isolation. Luckily, I'm a salaried employee and had a lot hours owed anyways.

I don't let her forget it though. This past valentines day I messaged her and sent a "Happy 1st year anniversary of giving me covid" xD

To my knowledge, I have not had COVID but I know my kids have. I have been ill over the last few years but all COVID tests came back negative so I assumed it was just a normal illness that has been around forever.

I however do not know if I may have carried it and just not fallen ill with it which is why I always do my best to keep my distance and do all I can to protect others.

Yep I got it last year, the weekend of the 4th of July I was sick. The first night I got a really bad cough that wouldn't go away no matter what. It eventually cleared up but the next day I had the worse chills I've ever had while being sick. It sucks because I missed out on Holiday pay since I felt like garbage and had to take the whole week off of work.

I had the flu in January of 2020 and was fine until a time last year when me and a hiking partner did someone a favor. They never told us they were sick. We both got sick, preventing a major hiking goal.

I was diagnosed positive but it felt just like regular flu.

Got that again (flu) right now but at the tail end of it.

I got it last year. Despite being careful, I caught the infection. My aunt who came to visit us had the symptoms but did not tell us about them, therefore I was kind of disappointed in her. She should have stayed at home. It lasted over two weeks.

I got COVID for my birthday last year. I managed to avoid it all that time, even working in public safety and being exposed multiple times, but it finally got me. It started off with a sore throat. Tested and came back negative. Next day I realized my throat was still sore, so I tested again. Sure enough, I had it.

I'm very similar to Jordan. I never call in sick. I have over 700 sick hours banked right now and I retired from my previous job w/ over 900 hours of sick leave. My temperature runs very low. When I went to CVS Minute Clinic (I tried to do the right thing and do a virtual appointment, but they canceled multiple times) my temp was 99.4. I slept for 36 hours those first two days. It was awful. I can only imagine how much worse it would have been if I wasn't vaccinated.

My husband and i were able to avoid getting covid for the first couple of years. Then this last February we caught it on our first holiday since the pandemic happened.

At first i thought i eas going to be okay as it was days after my husband tested positive before i did. He was extremely tired and slept a lot but soon recovered. He tested negative on day three so he was very lucky. He too was a person who never gets sick but he certainly got covid.

I on the other hand felt okay for the first few days until around the fourth day. It hit hard. I got extraordinarily tired. Felt weird head wise like...well just weird. Like no flu I've ever experienced. Then, like clockwork on the ninth day was pretty much comatose... never ate, drank.. just couldn't. I had to force myself to breathe... likely should have gone to the hospital but. No cough or sore throat. Just a terrible headache no meds would relieve and not like the migraines i suffer... just a weird sickness. Honestly thought i was going to die. It was bad. I don’t think i would have survived if i had not had the vaccine. I think thankfully because my cells had memory i was able to push through. But it shut me down... it was like adult sids...horrible. oh and i remember my sinus being stuffed up but nothing would come out. Like the mucus had turned to concrete.

I finally tested negative on the 17th day? Canrecall, but it was a lot longer than they were telling us at the time.

I still have no taste or smell and sinus issues. Plus blood pressure and heart palpitations... i can't exercise as hard or lobg as i used to either... i hope it all gets better eventually. The heart stuff scares the shit out of me.

Anyway... so yeah not like a normal flu at all.

They said that they never had a cure for the covid 19 virus. So I didn't consider testing for it as they couldn't cure it if at all I had contacted the virus.

Got it for the second time September-ish last year. I had a busy month or so where I was in the hospital for 2 days due to a diabetic ulcer on my foot. Then within a week of that, I dropped a butcher knife on my hand and needed 4 stitches. And then the next week I came down with Covid.

The second time around was much easier than the first, for sure! My husband never got it the first time I had it, but this time he did.
