That was the best book. I hope they do it justice. Tho it's gonna be Part II that kicks major ass.... I was extremely po'd she killed my fav character, but I loved who she picked to 'finish' Voldemort. I cried at the justice of it...*sniffs*

I'm not a great fan of the Harry Potter movies, apart from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban (Favourite book, Favourite film). I always watch them though.

I think if I hadn't read the books in high school...which was a long time ago...I wouldn't be so into it.

But I read the books at like the height of my book worminess and it stuck with me.

I started reading Harry Potter the year HP & The philospher's stone was released. My copy is a second edition (I'm so annoyed it isn't a First edition - it would be worth loads) complete with the picture of Quirrel (at least I think it is Quirrel, I can't work out who else it can be) instead of Dumbledore who is featured on the new edictions.

And mine has a plot hole in it (In all the first books released before Chamber of Secrets, Nearly Headless Nick says he hasn't eaten for nearly 400 years. After the 2nd books was released the first book was editted to say he hadn't eaten in nearly 500 years.)

I've grown up with Harry, so I was a bit sad when the last book came out. To be honest, I really don't like the last book - I felt a bit let down reading it, I feel it's a bit too cluttered and at times, it's boring.

yeah i get that too about the last book. but i still liked it.

I guess as an American I was satisfied that it didn't end all happy and didn't pay attention to too much of the rest.

I would go re-read it, but I want to be surprised by the movies.

I'm not a fan of stories that get stupidly happy endings (like the end of the Twilight Saga, God was I disapointed!) but I didn't like how dark the story got during the fight. All my favourite characters died... and Hedgwig! I cried at her dying.
