My cousins Birthday is today as well and her Mom used to be really cheap and give her one or two gifts all wrapped in Christmas paper and tell her it was for both.. She never had a birthday party in all her childhood..

That is really harsh.

I didn't have birthday parties till I was in my teens and people didn't go away for Christmas as much as when they were kids. My mum tried to arrange them a few times but EVERYONE was away or busy so the party always fell apart.

I hate joint presents. Used to really get on my nerves to get given the same gift for my birthday & Christmas present my sister got just for Christmas. It was usually something she wanted and she's 4 years younger than me and with quite different tastes :willy_nilly:
