how did i know you would do that? :cool

I had this feeling :Jessica is going to vote for almost all of them.

you said we can vote for more than one lol so I voted for most of them lol

I didn't chose the others because they didn't exactly make me happy.

In the future I think people should only be allowed one vote. Just my two cents.

i liked it the way it panned out. That way no one felt pressured to vote for just one, and they knew that it wasn't their one vote to decide who won.

thank god we didn't have a tie though. but we could have those even when people only get one vote.

I also think from now on that we should have the polls be open because I have a feeling some people stack the votes somehow....and I am not the only one who thinks this. :cool

I don't, because I think plenty of people won't necessarily vote for two because they couldn't decide, moreso becuase they just kind of liked the other one (or 5 in Jessica's case.) If there is a clear choice, in their mind, they should just vote for that one.

I also think some people will only vote in multiples up until when the votes begin to grow more in number, and that's when they will 'only' pick their favorite.

So basically it will go--> everyone votes for top two/three for the first few days --> poll comes closer to closing --> the other maybe 1/4th or 1/5th left to vote decide to only vote for their favorite because the scores are so high

This would mean that about 4/5ths of the voters would choose the top three, and then only the select 1/5th or so would choose the actual winner. It's just not fair, that really means less then 20% of the forum chose the winner. If only one person gets prize money, their should be only one vote allowed.

Okay, let me walk you through it again.

Let's just say you started this poll a week ago with the deadline being today. The majority of the votes occur quickly within the first few hours. The first voters come in, see three outstanding photo's; and while they could easily choose a favorite out of the three, just vote for all of them just because they can and they don't want to choose. This happens with about 80% of the votes within the first 24 hours.

The other 20% late comer voters who hadn't decided or who hadn't seen the poll yet, now see three outstanding photos tied for first. They decide to choose a favorite out of these three, because they really want that one to win, and see without them voting for just that picture, it will either most likely remain tied or be voted down compared to one of the other close to winning favorites. So now just these 20% choose the winner.

Only 20% of the voters will actually choose their one and only favorite and thusly the winner.

The whole point of having people vote once is to pressure them into choosing their real favorite. Not the one they liked because they used to have a cat like the one in the picture, or the one they kind of liked because of some other little detail; but the one they thought took the most skill, fit the theme best, had the best composure, and really deserved to win the most. Only a very small amount of voters actually voted that way because only a very few amount felt like they had to. But to be fair everyone has too.

why is this such a big deal to you? you come off sounding really bitchy, people pick what they like based on personal expirence big whoop...... its not like this is a professional competition its for fun, lighten up

I thought it was done just fine. Even if the viola didn't win and that's the one I voted for.

If others run the contests in the future they can do it their way.
