If you ever come to Colorado, This is worth seeing
Hanging Lake is a mountaintop pond a little east of Glenwood Springs, in Glenwood Canyon. It's only accessible from I-70 west; there's a rest area about a half mile from the trailhead. The trail itself is rocky but well-maintained. Most of it is pretty steep, but since it's only a mile long, it's pretty manageable. The view of the lake at the top would be worth twice the exertion it takes to get there.
Starting Elevation: 6,XXX feet ?
Highest Elevation: 7,000 feet
Distance (each way): ~ 1 mile

A view along the trail

The lake at the top of the mountain

Another view of the waterfalls

The adventurous can climb further and get
above the lake
