Thanks Poop. I would estimate I was about 100 yards away. I cropped the pic before i posted it here so it would more or less fill the frame better. No point in having the whole dead tree in the shot when all I wanted was the eagle.

I shot the thing from my car because it looked like it was ready to vamoose in a hurry which of course it did. Someday I'll get the shot of one coming directly at me instead of the almighty butt shot.

My intention today was to go and get some shots of Canada Geese in the air. I didn't get the shot I wanted but I have a few others you might want to see. I hope you enjoy them.

I've been sorta stuck in the house for the last week due to my shoulder injury and I've been going nuts with boredom. You can tell by these pictures I wasted my time with today. Anywhoo a little bowl of water and some food coloring killed a few minutes. Now what?

Thanks janie. I'm gunna get some red dye next time I'm at the store and try it again. I also want to get some sort of clear jar that I can shoot through cuz it's kinda hard to manually focus on a specific spot in the bowl when the stuff is moving around. If I used a jar maybe I can get a better focus and create some colored tornado thingies.

yes or if you have a place where the liquid has more room to move. or if you had a bit more of a current...

or if you experimented with milk and oil colors...
