Guyzerr's Random Shots

Well it looks like I need to get a bigger zoom :D

I give ya huge props though because I assume you did not use a tripod for those pics. I assume that 400 is tougher to get clear pics on than a 300 unless the light is pretty bright.

Maybe next time I need to pay more attention to the lens I get as far as that goes. I know it makes a difference

You can never get a big enough one. Ya always want more.

You are correct. No tripod for those shots. Packing the lens around is enough weight. I know I should be using a tri-pod more but I'm too damn lazy. That lens does demand a lot of light but it is an " L " series so the quality is a few steps above yours. It also has Image Stabilization which gives me a couple extra stops.

A good lens makes all the difference in the world.
The 100 - 400 is $2000.00 + taxes in Canadian coin. Think your wife would mind?

Thanks RR. How are they loading for you now?

Really not that long at all! Probably just under a minute I'd guess. Once they load and I leave the thread and return...... they are all right there with no delay!

Computers..... Gotta love 'em...... If I could understand them. :D

I wanted to mention I really like the way you present the pictures too. Like on a canvas or a postcard. Very nicely done.

I have a digital camera. It's the Kodak EasyShare C530. Got it for a very good price and used a store coupon too!

You could say I'm not into serious photography like you guys are. However, I'm happy with the pictures I do take and the results. They are a far cry better than the 110 or 35mm cameras I still own. :D

Just sayin'.........

Here's a couple taken today on my walk around the lake. Nothing special.

For some reason I feel the need to post 'em one at a time. :D

more good stuff Guy :thumbup

we have the red winged blackbirds too. Never knew what the female looked like.

Same here, Alien.

I find it at times hard to believe that the male species is so much more colorful than the female species. Based on man and woman of course.

wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!...omg...so tell me you make some money doing this because those are fantastic!!!

No I don't make any money doing this. I have sold a few pictures to people I don't know but I don't charge much. In most cases I give them away. I usually pay for getting them blown up as well. I'm just a nice guy.

i can't wait to see more!
I said that once and it got me in a lot of trouble.

Pssttt... did you rep me? ;)

Perhaps one day you will send me without cost a picture that strikes my fancy over any other. :cool

:24:

Yes.... I repped you!

The flowers were beautiful! All of your pictures are so crisp...I really enjoy them!
Thank you for your warm comments. I'm glad you enjoy them.

Btw...I think that first pic with the flowers are asters...at least they look like the ones that are in my garden...

I'll go back and take a look at the shot. Was it one that I didn't have an ID for? If so thanks for pointing it out. I love shooting flowers because they don't argue, move or fuss about. I don't have a green thumb and usually don't know the names but I'm learning ever so slowly.
