You should realize we don't ban people for no reason here at OTz. I am, however, able to tell you that I would prefer you keep your post whoring in the post whoring thread, where it belongs. We don't come to your house and junk it up, and we'd prefer you didn't do it here, either.

Thank you.

ill probably be the only one to stick up for the guy on this, maybe because i find myself in the same place, but damn that halo2 shit puts you in the twilight zone, you start playing and next thing you look up and 8 hours have gone by. good thing is once you go on a spree like that you usually give it a rest for a few days... next time he is on a rampage like that why don't you make him a sandwhich or bring a cold beer?

for the love of god don't take his games away

You know what Vfast? This crap is getting old REAL fast. You need to grow a pair and quit acting like a child.

Any other moderators think we out to let this thread continue with the non sense bickering from (you know who) or should we lock it?

EDIT: Good! I see someone removed his post. Thank God!! Thank you to whoever did that.

I play Video games, but I do not let it effect my choirs around the house, bills, relationship, etc..

I have to admit, Bossman has been on his best behavior lately :D
He uaually plays his video games after the kids are in bed and he has been exceptionally great at helping me keep the house clean (he has actually been doing a better job than me). So I have to give him his props on that one.

Um...yeah. Halo2 isn't all that grand that you'll just zone out and let hours fly by. It's easy to beat, and even easier to just put the controllers down and get off your ass to do something more constructive than playing video games. It's one thing to have fun...but it should be done only after the work has been completed. This is something we've learned by growing up.

blasphemy, halo2 is the greatest... i was talking about playing multiplayer xbox live, i agree though gotta do the work first so you can play later to get your priorities in check. most people don't like to play it on xbox live because they can't even beat the little whinny 8 year olds, let alone hang with the big dogs.

this is kinda funny but i saw something on tv the other day about a group of females calling themselves "girlfriends against boyfriends playing video games".

Re: RE: guys and games

It's a big deal because people make it such. If everything was perfect to begin with, then everyone could just arrive home and do what they wished...but it isn't that way.

Men will always bitch about housework. Women will always bitch that men spend too much time on video games. It's the give and take of the relationship. Neither will enter the other's world to see what it is like on the other side of the fence.

We have a good balance here. If I ask him to do something, he pauses right away and gets it done, asks if I need anything else done, and if I don't, then he lets me know that he is going back to his game for the night. I have an option RIGHT THEN to say, "Oh hey...can ya spend a little time with me after 2200 to maybe watch a movie or something?" and then it is scheduled in. He's better with keeping up with the time, so while I'm still typing at 2159, he's letting me know it is time for us.

People need to find that balance, or set a cut-off time for all of it so that time can be spent together.

No. He was the one who taught me how to make it work with us. You have to understand, I came out of a ten year relationship expecting to be dumped on again, and he had the hand to give and to lift me up with.

Before this relationship, I was a very stressed overworked person who could barely keep up with the demands all around me. I'm much calmer now, and am better able to be myself because of the liberties I now have. He was literally that knight in shining armor all the little girls dream of...I'm just very lucky.
