A few minutes ago a man in a car drove by me house, stopped ant took a picture of the house, we is not sure if he saw us, but we locked the doors. OMG he has come back in another car with someone else driving, and this time wrote stopped for at least 2 minutes and just left about 5 seconds ago. He appeared to be writng somethin down. Are we being paranoid or what????

I tried to get the liscence plate, but I only got the first 3 numbers. It probably wouldn't help much if they were switching cars though right. Also, me mom thought she heard someone in our garage like 2 weeks ago, because we had just moved in and our car couldn't fit into our garage without keeping it open yet--now it can.

My mom is a licensed therapist for drug addicts at a non-profit organization, so I would highly doubt that we are doing something illegal...

Our house is definitely not for sale, we moved in, in December so I don't think there should still be any listings...my mom said she would NEVER move again, because this house is perfect, and she hates moving. We have a camera set up in the window , just in case they drive by again.

BTW the police can't do anything because he was taking pictures from the public road, which isn't against the law.

May be invasion of privacy.

It's not like you're a celebrity or public figure where it's all fair (well, in the eyes of the paparazzi).

You are a private citizen (assumingly) and i doubt people could arbitrarily just be in front your house or wherever taking out whatever amount of pictures as they please without having to answer why they are so doing, whether or not on your lawn, front door, inside your house or in the road.

If it was ok for them to be taking out pictures and scrutinizing your property as they wish then they could casually just park themselves in front your house and do that all day long.

I hope you don't live around here .. we've been given a scavenger hunt list in my History of Architecture and Design class .. to go out and take pictures of 10 differet styles of houses lol.

I'm sure more than a few people are going to think the same thing when we start snapping away LMAO.

I asked my teacher if we should ask permission first .. she told me to just do a "Drive-by".

Well you can chance a drive-by but you know subconsciously that it's kinda wrong. Best thing is to ask permission. The thing is though, if you do, most likely more will say no than yes. So you may be more inclined to just avoid that and just shoot the pics. However it may be a different kind of scenario taking a pic of somebody's house in the day than in the night when it would be a bit suspeckish....and I doubt you would be parking up and scrutinizing the people's property for any length of time so there might be a bit of difference there.

Next time they roll by, simple point this out the window....Even birds will quit flying by your house.
