For the three of us... diapers, wipes and food... it equals about 250 for 2 weeks. With milk, bread and egg runs through out.

what do you spend at the grocery store and for how many people? yesterday i went to HEB and spent $129.00 but bought over 68 items. now mind you this is for a family of 4 and should last about 2 weeks.

My household has ranged from 1-4 people in the past few months, and I will say $30 a person a week.

So $129 for 4 people for two weeks is awesome!

For 2, about 100 bucks for a few weeks. I cheat thought. I live in a hotel with a restaurant. So flour, seasonings, potatoes, onions, sugar... I get those up there lol. They always have bulk of those =D

Between $ 80 - 100 a week for normal shopping.

But if something is on sale (chicken, steak, etc) I normally spend a extra 100 bucks just to stock up. Saves you in the long run

For the two of us we usually spend about $40 a week. However, we make a trip to Costco once every 4 or 5 weeks and spend a couple hundred bucks. Now that hubbub is away at school it should be substantially cheaper.

I think $129 for groceries to last a family 2 weeks is some pretty good shopping, to be honest. :thumbup

When I had a family the wife would spend about $200 on her bi weekly shopping. With maybe $20-$50 a week additional at the store between shopping

We had a family of five. Not so sure the one extra person added all that much.

I'm feeding a 12 year old boy, so, my grocery bill has gone up astronomically! (When he was younger it was so much cheaper!) He plays sports year round, so, he's always hungry. :ninja I purchase pantry items and refrigerator items at the grocery store... household goods- like cleaning products, personal hygiene products, etc., are never bought at the grocery store... as I find them to be over priced. Meat comes from the butcher shop, once a month. I do a big grocery shop every 2 weeks, with milk and bread runs weekly. I probably average $400 a month. :eek (For 2 of us.)

What I love is how I used to be able to purchase a 5 lb bag of sugar for .99. Now, it's 4 lbs for 3 bucks! :thumbdown

so true!!! and we occasionally feed a 15 year old boy....so i know the feeling. sometimes i think he would eat the hardwood floor if i let him :24:
