Yes. See the bowler in a cricket game can place the ball anywhere. Bouncing off the ground, then moving in any directon as it deflects of the seem. It could bounce straight into your nuts, guts, or head. Or the bowler could bowl it straight onto your toes. Or he could do what's known as a full toss and deliver it straight to your chest on the full.

It's much harder to hit a cricket ball than a baseball.

Also. You guys wear mits! MITS! We catch the ball bear-handed!! Come on now!

Anyone who hits a baseball player in the nut's on purpose is getting an ass whippin'.

Then the opposing players are probably going to sweat who's going to get retribution.

I really am not sure you can compare Cricket to Baseball at all, to be honest. I work out at a gym with a guy that played Cricket for a long time, him and I have argued the pints time after time, the only thing we agreed on was they are both great sports to drink beer to.

I played baseball from Mini T-ball, all the way through college. It's the only sport I really know.

BUT I have never seen the tough side of Cricket, usually when I have seen it portrayed, it's with these white collar guy's in Izod's Tea Sipping and laughing with that "God, I hope James notices me eyeing his package" look on thier faces.

It really has been poorly represented here in the states.

LMAO.. that was a joke! I just showed you a video of rugby players hitting just as hard as NFL guys. This video means jack shit.

I love the NFL. I think it's a great game. But Rugby players deserve respect for hitting just as hard without pads.

of course no one in there right mind is going to hit as hard ALL the time if he is not wearing all that padding.besides rugby players dont get a rest every 10 minutes they play for quite a long time before a break.if you put a rugby player in all that stuff and put him on the field i think it would make rather good sport

NFL plays only last an average of about 5 - 10 seconds. Rugby only stops if the ball goes out of bounds or a penalty is call. Else the game will continue to run until either the half or full time whisle. And they play 30 minute halves, with no quarters.


Also. They have only one team. That team must play both offence and defence. Their kicker is also on the field the whole time.

You don't have to respect the game if you want. Whether you respect it or not, it's well known that we hit just as hard, have no padding, and play longer. I'm in no way claiming that Rugby is better than the NFL. I am however claiming that Rugby deserves respect, and does not deserve stubbon yanks claiming they're a bunch of sissies.

I actually hate Cricket. Despite this, I would rather hit a baseball bowl (or whatever the fuck you call it) than a bowl in cricket. A cricket ball bowled softly would knock you out if it hit you in the head!:willy_nilly:

There's something you're missing here Bacon! In Rugby you're only allowed to tackle the player with the ball. No blocking, no interference. It's all about the ball!!!
By the way, you've obviously never met a rugby player. They all, all have various obvious injuries. Broken noses, cauliflower ears, gouges, scars etc!!! They're not sissys!!!

Personally, I think even though a Cricket game can last about five months....And self respecting baseball player could hang with a Cricket player...Any place any time.

BUT....A cricket player would cry like Britney Spears being hauled away from the laughing academy in the backseat of Dr.Phils car if they slid into second and tore those cute trousers they wear:ninja

I'd love to see a basball player hit a cricket ball bouncing off the ground at 95mph.
